4th September

We had the privilege to listen to an invited Pastor about the ministries in China. They serve the Lord with zeal. We as Christians should expose more to the various Christian Ministries around the world and learn from them. Improve on and serve God unfailingly. This is our Mission, to testify God and preach the gospel. We're proud to be the chosen one.

The speaker challenged us with this,
"What if your belief is not true?"

He also said that many people believe or accept Christ because they want to have eternal life, they want to go to heaven. But the true way of believing in Jesus actually is to be more like Christ. If we have Jesus as our savior, our characteristics will reflect our identity.

Merdeka !

On Aug 27 2010 , we had this really interesting message by Sister Adeline - I Love Malaysia !

She showed us that we could be living in oblivion of the beauty of Malaysia because of the many problems we face in the society nowadays.

She showed us many unknown locations to us such as a Gua Nasib Bagus in Sarawak which has the largest underground chamber in the world !

Besides that we have places such as Pulau Sipadan which has a really beautiful beach and crystal clear water ! Not to forget the marine activities going underwater !

In lieu of our National Day, the few of us wore traditional costumes from 3 different races.

The Baju Kurung, Punjabi Suit and Modern Cheongsam .

Surprisingly, each of us wore a different one without being told .. i guess that happens when you've known each other almost your whole life .

We LOVE Malaysia !

How to Make Someone =)

Last Friday , we were pleased to have Elder Quek ( aka Sir Andrew, we prefer to call him this way ) with us to share on the topic " How to Make Someone Smile " .

It was rather a relaxed and joyful time and the message was simple yet meaningful . It serves as a very good reminder.

The very first question he posed was : " How do you make someone smile ? " , continued by " is it easier to make someone angry or someone smile ? " . Very simple questions but it made us ponder a lot and we often find ourselves trapped in between answers.

Sir Andrew shared with us a few points, to make someone smile, we actually have to have several qualities which we often forget at times.

To be able to make someone smile is a quality that comes from both our appearance and our inner self.
On one hand, we should pay attention to how we dress, how we converse , our personal hygiene and the passion we emanate.

On the other hand, we should cultivate positive characters and develop self esteem.

He concluded the session with Proverbs 4:23 .

Do join us when we have interesting topics as such ! We are sure to keep you informed !

Cookin' Fun

On 21st of May 2010, Joy Fellowship had their first Cooking activity at sister Kai Yun's house.
We got together at about 6 plus and we started assembling our ingredients.

Among us there were one or two who was new in cooking, there were also a few of us who had experience in cooking.

This activity started out to be a competition. where it was girls v.s guys.
Each group had to prepare one dish of vegetables, one dish of meat and the last one is free style.

However, we decided to combine the two groups when we started cooking. ( thought our combined effort would produce a better meal ! XD )

Philip dicing his ingredients. You would see later that he is one of those quite experienced cook. =)

while we were cooking, our mentors did what mentor Fong Yew did in the above picture.

no joke that he can cook !

we had 1 soup, 1 egg, 1 vege and 3 dishes of chicken. O.O

we had chicken, egg and another chicken !

We had fun learning and cooking together. if you think it's fun by looking at this picture, do not miss our next cook-and-eat activity which happens to be a

May the road rise up to meet you,

Memory lane of 2009

Year 2009

1) Our team joined the Precious Moment Camp.

Some pictures to share.

2) Our first fellowship gathering

3) August 14

Our first candle-light-under-the-monkey-bar supposed to be picnic sharing fellowship.

The committee intended to have our fellowship under the sky which will be filled with stars (although i am not sure we can see stars in KL), under the monkey bar in our playground of our church.

Mentor Kee Sern was the earliest, although he seemed as if he didn't know what we were up to that day. Carol and i came after that and we started decorating the place with the decos Carol made and the candles I brought. Then, Wilfred came too with his new weapon aka the guitar.

We had a splendid time singing under the monkey bar but it was drizzling very soon after we started singing .  So we had no choice but to move our campsite back to our usual classroom . Anyway, we had a good time singing and then we had a very very enjoyable fellowship and warm bonding session together.

We played truth or dare. Everyone of us got to know each other better , and the juiciest part is that we talked mostly about BOY GIRL RELATIONSHIPS, which seems to be a very interesting topic.

So, next time you want know more about us ( and the latest secretss! hahah ), make sure to come and join us for our fellowship cause you'll never know what you'll find out from us ! =)

Credits :

a) Thanks to Carol for the decos, I especially love the "HOUSE" part.

4) October16

We gathered for a dinner at church. We had a great night 'debating' about, should girls pamper their boyfriends?.... We managed to share our opinions regarding what's our future plans. =) We definitely got to know each other better after that night.

Overall, it was a good night. We really enjoy learning and building each other up in god's love.
